The Social Planning Council of Winnipeg cordially invites you to its community-driven poverty measurement workshop,

The objective of the workshop is to begin developing awareness of poverty measurement in Manitoba. Use of conflicting measures hampers public understanding of the issue and hinders our collective progress toward a more equitable province.
The workshop will involve representatives from the community in determining what concepts and indicators should be included in the development of a poverty measure for Manitoba.
The anticipated outcomes will include a position paper from the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg, a workshop summary produced by Face2Face, and an open letter to the province produced and endorsed by the participants of the workshop.
Speakers include Honourable Art Eggleton P.C. and Richard Shillington.
Note: A light lunch will be provided. For additional information on financial assistance for transportation and childcare please contact the coordinates above.
